My Wedding - Peachtree City, GA
06.21.2003

This was the biggest day of my life. For those of you who are married, you know what I'm talking about (well, at least you should). I made a committment to my wife Hilary that forever changed the course of my life and her's, as well as affecting the lives of our families and generations to come. It may sound like I'm making it out to be a little more than it is, but I promise you that if anything, I'm underestimating.

The whole weekend couldn't have been more perfect...the weather was awesome, everything went as expected (or better!) and everyone was in good spirits. Eric and I were a bit late to the rehearsal on Friday afternoon (complications with the slide show that we were preparing for the rehearsal dinner). Nonetheless, everything held together and worked out perfectly. The rehearsal dinner that my parents put together was GREAT - it was an island theme. Everyone wore island attire, the tables were decorated appropriately and we even had jerk chicken! We had some "storytelling" time later on, where people came up to sort of talk about us and even zing us a bit.

The wedding day was awesome! The church was decorated nicely, and everyone looked so nice in their dresses and tuxedos. I'll admit...I got a little misty eyed when I saw Hilary coming down the aisle with her father. The ceremony went off without a hitch...er, wait, well...you know what I mean. Everything went smoothly.

The reception was equally amazing. The food was unbeatable, and the cakes were perfect. The DJ was a lot of fun, and everyone had a really good time...even after we left! It was a little sad to drive away knowing that it had all whizzed by so fast.

We stayed at a hotel near the airport.
